The Dafeng Economic Development Zone was established in 1992. In 1997, it was approved by the Provincial People’s Government as a provincial-level comprehensive export-oriented agricultural development zone, and in 2006, it was renamed the Jiangsu Dafeng Economic Development Zone following approval by the National Development and Reform Commission. With a planned area of 156 square kilometers, the zone is home to more than 600 enterprises.The park has established a chain-based development structure centered on three major industries: new energy and equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicle components, and next-generation electronic information. It is home to industry leaders such as Goldwind, CRRC Electric Machinery, Bomin Electronics, and Canadian Solar. The Wind Power Industrial Park is the country’s only National Torch Specialized Industrial Base for offshore wind power equipment.
