The Xinyang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is located in the eastern part of Xinyang’s urban center. Its administrative boundaries were officially established in September 2004, covering a total area of 73.32 square kilometers. It enjoys a prime location and convenient transportation links.To the west of the industrial park lie National Highway 107 and the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway. The Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway, Shanghai-Xi’an Expressway, National Highway 312, Ningxi Railway, and the operational Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway all traverse the area. Expressway interchanges, as well as the Xinyang East Station on the Ningxi Railway and the Xinyang Passenger Station on the Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, are all situated within the zone.
The Administrative Committee of the Xinyang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone comprises twelve departments: the Office, Investment Promotion Bureau, Construction Bureau, Finance Bureau, Planning Bureau, Land and Resources Bureau, Industry and Commerce Bureau, State Tax Bureau, Local Tax Bureau, Economic and Trade Development Bureau, Social Affairs Bureau, and Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau. It also oversees the Chengdong Sub-district Office.
The Xinyang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is committed to building distinctive industrial parks. Relying on aerospace special-purpose vehicles and high-end aerospace fasteners projects, it focuses on developing an aerospace industrial park; relying on the tea industry cluster, it focuses on developing industrial parks for Xinyang Maojian and “Xinyang Hong” tea; relying on Huayi Switchgear, Xindian Electrical Appliances, and Wantai Electrical Appliances, it focuses on developing an electrical appliance industrial park; and relying on Wanhua Board Industry, it focuses on developing an industrial park for the R&D and manufacturing of eco-friendly board equipment.leveraging the Jingzhu Logistics Corridor to build a modern logistics park; leveraging the small business cluster in the Eastern District to build a small business incubation park; and leveraging high-tech electronics projects such as Fanlan Electronics, Dongxin Blu-ray, Tianyang LCD, and Bosida Communications to build the largest electronics industrial base in Henan Province, holding a strategic position in Central China.
