Established in 2008, the Huaiyin High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is one of 184 development zones in the province. With a planned area of 16.22 square kilometers, 12 square kilometers have been developed to date. The zone is home to 343 enterprises (267 in textiles, 54 in apparel, and 22 in food and other sectors),with 160 industrial enterprises above designated size. The zone has essentially formed three major industrial clusters: fashion textiles, green food, and boat manufacturing. It has been designated as a provincial-level high-tech industrial development zone and has received numerous honors, including National Model Industrial Park for Harmonious Labor Relations, China’s Emerging Textile Industry Base County, Henan Province Development Zone “New Industrial Chain” Gold Star Award, Henan Province New Industrialization Industrial Demonstration Base, and Henan Province Advanced Development Zone for Science and Technology Innovation Gold Star Award.
