The Jia County Economic and Technological Development Zone is located in the eastern part of the county seat. Established in February 2015, it is one of the original 29 provincial-level economic and technological development zones in Henan Province. With a planned area of 16.26 square kilometers and a developed area of 9.6 square kilometers, the zone is home to 139 enterprises, including 116 enterprises meeting the "four above" criteria,and 15 high-tech enterprises. It has consecutively won the Henan Provincial “Golden Star Award” for development zone construction and is recognized as Henan’s most competitive “10-billion-yuan industrial cluster.”Its three leading industries—equipment manufacturing, food processing, and pharmaceuticals—are all situated within a one-hour travel radius of Xinzheng Airport, Zhengzhou Airport, Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Pingdingshan, Xuchang, and Luohe. The Zheng-Luan Expressway, Luo-Jie Highway, Zhengnan West Line, Nanshi Highway, and Ping-Jia Expressway intersect within the zone. The Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-Speed Railway and the San-Yang Railway both have stations in Jia County.
