The Nandagang Ecological Industrial Park in the Bohai New Area was formerly known as the Nandagang Farm, a large provincial-level integrated agricultural, industrial, and commercial enterprise. Established in December 1958 with the approval of the State Council, it was designated as a county-level administrative unit and placed under the jurisdiction of the Cangzhou Prefectural Administrative Office.Starting in 1962, it came under the direct jurisdiction of the Hebei Provincial Agricultural Reclamation Bureau. In 2003, in accordance with provincial institutional reform requirements, it adopted local management and established the Cangzhou Nandagang Administrative District. In July 2007, with the establishment of the Cangzhou Bohai New Area, it was renamed the Cangzhou Bohai New Area Nandagang Industrial Park. To this day, the state-owned Nandagang Farm remains in operation and continues to benefit from national agricultural reclamation policies.
