Established in 2002, the Dingzhou Economic Development Zone in Hebei Province is a provincial-level economic development zone and high-tech industrial development zone. It is one of the 14 development zones in the province designated for priority development during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, with a target output value exceeding 100 billion yuan, and serves as a council member of the Provincial Development Zone Association. In 2013, it was designated as a provincial-level demonstration zone for military-civilian integration and named one of China’s Top Ten Development Zones with the Greatest Potential. In 2014, it was identified as a key platform for Hebei Province to receive the functional relocation and industrial transfer from Beijing and Tianjin.
