Park Overview
A national-level new area established in 2014 with the approval of the State Council, it is located at the junction of Guiyang and Anshun. With a planned total area of 1,795 square kilometers, it is the nation’s first national-level new area driven by big data. In 2024, its regional GDP exceeded 120 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 13.5%, with the value added by the digital economy accounting for over 45% of GDP. It serves as the core zone of the “China Data Valley.”
Its leading industries include big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, high-end equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, and modern services. The zone is home to leading enterprises such as Huawei Cloud, Tencent Data Center, Apple iCloud China (Cloud Guizhou), China Telecom Southern Data Center, and China Mobile Data Center. It has established a computing power cluster with over 500,000 servers and serves as a key hub for the national “East Data, West Computing” initiative.
The area boasts superior location and transportation links, adjacent to the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway, the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway, and Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport (within a 30-minute commute). The Guiyang Metro Line S1 runs through the new district, and the Gui’an High-Speed Railway Station serves as the region’s comprehensive transportation hub. The industrial layout is organized around a “One Core, Two Wings” framework: the Digital Economy Core Zone (Huchao), the High-End Manufacturing Wing (Machang), and the Eco-Residential Wing (Gaofeng).
In terms of infrastructure, the area has developed over 40 industrial parks, with more than 15 million square meters of standardized factory space and R&D buildings. It is supported by the National Supercomputing Center in Gui’an, the Big Data Security Testing Ground, and the Artificial Intelligence Open Platform. Supporting services include Gui’an Hospital (Grade III A), Guizhou Science City, Talent Town, international schools, and the Science and Technology Financial Service Center.
