The Qinzhou Port Area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone covers a total area of 58.19 square kilometers, comprising the 10-square-kilometer Qinzhou Bonded Port Area, the 16.05-square-kilometer China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, and the 32.14-square-kilometer Qinzhou Port Economic and Technological Development Zone.
(1) Strategic Positioning: To build a gateway port for the new international land-sea trade corridor; a maritime economic cluster; and a demonstration zone for China-ASEAN cooperation.
(2) Key Industries: Focus on developing port and shipping logistics, international trade, green chemicals, new energy vehicles, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, biomedicine, big data, and other industries.
(3) Development Goals: To establish a high-standard, high-quality free trade zone that leads China-ASEAN open cooperation, characterized by free trade, investment convenience, industrial clustering, financial openness, efficient regulation, and a prominent radiating and driving effect.
(4) Main Tasks: Accelerate the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor to build a gateway port that organically connects with the Belt and Road Initiative; accelerate the improvement of investment facilitation to create a maritime economic industrial cluster;accelerate the exploration of the “Two Countries, Two Parks” cross-border cooperation mechanism to create a pilot demonstration zone for China-ASEAN cooperation; accelerate the promotion of trade liberalization to create an international trade industrial cluster; accelerate the transformation of government functions to create a world-class business environment; accelerate financial reform and innovation to create a key window for financial openness toward ASEAN; and accelerate the promotion of science and technology innovation to create a hub for new technology and new economy industries.
