Park Overview
In 2005, the park ranked seventh among Chongqing’s distinctive industrial parks. Located in the northern part of Jiangjin District, the park is adjacent to Lanjia’tuo Port—a deep-water port on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River—and two railway stations on the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway. It is 40 kilometers from downtown Chongqing and 70 kilometers from Jiangbei International Airport. With the Chongqing Outer Ring Expressway and the Southwest Yunnan-Chongqing Corridor currently under construction, travel time from the park to downtown Chongqing will be reduced to just 30 minutes. The park is fully equipped with infrastructure for water, electricity, gas, roads, and communications. A 35 kV substation has been built, and a 110 kV substation is currently under construction. The Jiangjin Water Treatment Plant’s 800 mm cross-river water supply project has been extended into the park, providing a daily water supply of 80,000 tons; The two existing gas distribution stations from the Chongqing-Sichuan gas field have a combined daily gas supply capacity of 300,000 cubic meters; the park implements a separate storm and sanitary sewer system, and enterprises discharge treated wastewater in compliance with standards; fiber-optic broadband networks from China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Broadcasting Network cover the entire park. The park covers a planned area of 38 square kilometers. With the goals of becoming a “10-billion-yuan heavy equipment manufacturing base,” a “10-billion-yuan coatings base,” a “Western China building materials base,” and an “urban industrial park,” the park is being planned from a high starting point, constructed to high standards, and supported by advanced technology. It vigorously promotes institutional and conceptual innovation, highlights regional advantages, creates an excellent environment, leverages preferential policies, and provides high-quality services to build an “environmentally friendly, employment-generating, and fiscally sound” park.Over the past three years, the park has adhered to the planning guidelines outlined in the “Guiding Opinions on Industrial Layout for Chongqing’s Specialized Industrial Parks,” focusing on attracting investment along industrial chains. The 5.86-square-kilometer initial development zone has been completed. As of September 2006, the park housed 105 enterprises with contracted investment totaling 14 billion yuan; the number of employees across these enterprises reached 9,893.In the first three quarters of this year, the park achieved a total industrial output value of 3.14 billion yuan, an industrial value-added of 870 million yuan, and tax revenue of 140 million yuan. The warm, honest, hardworking, and resourceful people of Shuaixiang will, with the most open policies, the most comprehensive infrastructure, the most streamlined administrative procedures, and the highest quality services, transform the Chongqing Jiangjin Industrial Park into a prime destination for investment, a paradise for entrepreneurship, and a cradle of prosperity.
