Park Overview
The Shuitu Industrial Development Zone, formerly known as the Shuitu High-Tech Industrial Park—which was established on August 18, 2010—was upgraded to a national-level high-tech industrial development zone in 2019. Located in the northwestern part of the Liangjiang New Area, the zone covers the Shuitu and Fuxing sub-districts of Beibei District, with a total area of 118 square kilometers and a planned development area of 62.61 square kilometers.

Its core industries are electronic information and biomedicine, complemented by two specialty sectors—cloud computing and big data, and robotics and intelligent equipment manufacturing—forming a “2+2+X” manufacturing framework. In 2024, the park achieved an industrial output value of 60.489 billion yuan for enterprises above designated size, representing a year-on-year increase of 7.4%. Of this, the electronic information industry contributed 48.2 billion yuan, while the life sciences and healthcare industry contributed 5.53 billion yuan.

The area enjoys convenient transportation links, stretching from the intersection of Beijin Road and the G5001 Ring Expressway in the west, eastward along Ping’an Avenue and Taihe Road to the Zhuxi River, and southward to the planned southern boundary of the Shuitu District. It is a 40-minute drive from Chongqing North Station and is directly accessible via the Metro Line 6 branch line.

The industrial layout is driven by leading enterprises such as BOE, Laibao Technology, WuXi AppTec, and CETC, fostering industrial clusters in integrated circuits, new display technologies, innovative drug R&D, and smart sensors. From January to August 2025, strategic emerging manufacturing accounted for 64.2% of the total.

In terms of infrastructure, the area features 360,000 square meters of commercial space, including Yunzhong Street and the Wanshou Comprehensive Commercial Complex, as well as green spaces such as Siyuan Park and Mayuanxi Sports Park. It is home to Grade II private hospitals such as Yingtiang Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital and Runzhikang Hospital, and the Liangjiang Branch of the Ninth Municipal Hospital is currently under construction.
