The Sichuan Xindu High-Tech Industrial Park is a provincial-level key development zone approved by the provincial government in 1992. With a total planned construction area of 60.8 square kilometers, it is being developed around the themes of "a new city for science and technology innovation headquarters, a new city adjacent to the port and well-connected by rail, a new city for intelligent rail transit manufacturing, and a new city for aviation power," with the goal of becoming a first-class high-tech industrial park in China.
