Park Overview
The Funan Economic Development Zone in Anhui Province is a provincial-level comprehensive economic development zone established in 2006 following review by the National Development and Reform Commission and approval by the People’s Government of Anhui Province. The total planned area is 55 square kilometers, with the built-up area already reaching 14.33 square kilometers.Since its establishment, the zone has received a total investment of 2.51 billion yuan, including 1.11 billion yuan for resettlement communities, 1.09 billion yuan for road construction and public supporting facilities, and 310 million yuan for demolition compensation. The development zone has been successively honored as “China’s Best Investment Environment Industrial Park,” “China’s Best Industrial Transfer Demonstration Park,” “Anhui Province’s Advanced Grassroots Party Organization,” “Provincial Model Park for Harmonious Labor Relations,” and “Fuyang City’s Advanced Development Zone.”
The spatial structure of the Anhui Funan Economic Development Zone is organized as “One Park, Two Zones,” with a total area of 13.3911 square kilometers. The northern zone covers 12.416 square kilometers, while the southern zone covers 0.9751 square kilometers.The planning period spans from 2012 to 2030, with the initial phase covering 2012–2015 and the subsequent phase 2016–2030. The development zone’s planned leading industries include six major sectors: timber processing, textiles and apparel, bathroom fixtures, mechanical and electronic equipment, food processing, and fine chemicals.
