The Zibo National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is located in the heart of central Shandong. Covering an area of 121.13 square kilometers, it was established in November 1992 with the approval of the State Council as one of the nation’s 53 national-level high-tech industrial development zones and has been designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a National Base for the Industrialization of New Materials.
Zibo High-Tech Zone is situated in the northern part of Zhangdian District, Zibo City. Established in November 1992 with the approval of the State Council, it is one of 53 national-level high-tech zones. The zone covers an area of 121.13 square kilometers, of which 7.04 square kilometers are designated for the high-tech industrial development zone. It enjoys a superior geographical location and excellent transportation links.It is 80 kilometers west of Jinan International Airport and 210 kilometers east of Qingdao International Airport. The Jiaoji Railway, Jinan-Qingdao Expressway, National Highway 309, National Highway 205, as well as the Xintai Railway and Zidong Railway intersect and run through the zone.
