The Zibo Comprehensive Bonded Zone was approved for establishment by the State Council on August 30, 2020, making it Zibo City’s second national-level functional zone. It passed its acceptance inspection on March 31, 2021, and officially commenced operations on April 7. The Zibo Comprehensive Bonded Zone covers an enclosed area of 1.84 square kilometers, divided into north and south blocks connected by an overpass.

In terms of location, the Zibo Comprehensive Bonded Zone is situated in Zibo City, Shandong Province, in the northeastern part of the Zibo High-Tech Zone. It is part of Zibo’s main urban area. As the heart of central Shandong, it connects to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei economic circle to the north and the Yangtze River Delta economic zone to the south, offering significant geographical advantages.

In terms of transportation, within 1 kilometer of the Zibo Comprehensive Bonded Zone are two expressways: the Qingyin Expressway running east-west and the Zhan-Zi-Lin Expressway running north-south, both featuring a dedicated “Zibo Bonded Zone” entrance and exit;Three dedicated railway lines connect to the national rail network, reaching Huangdao Port to the east and linking to the central hinterland to the west, with the China-Europe Railway Express connecting to Central Asia; the newly constructed Zibo Station of the Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway is located 10 kilometers west of the park; and the surrounding road network is well-developed and accessible in all directions.
Regarding factory buildings and warehousing facilities: Construction has commenced on standard factory buildings within the bonded processing zone, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan and a construction area of 1.4 million square meters.The standard factory buildings are primarily designed as six-story structures with a floor area ratio exceeding 2.5. A renowned Italian designer has been commissioned to plan a 263,000-square-meter R&D center and a 218,000-square-meter supporting service area to high standards, facilitating the introduction of high-quality resources such as finance, business, and intermediary services. The cold chain infrastructure currently under construction will have a single-unit storage capacity of 120,000 tons upon completion, making it the most advanced fully automated and intelligent cold storage facility in the country.
