The China-Italy Industrial Park is one of China’s eight national-level international cooperation eco-industrial parks. Jointly initiated by the Chinese and Italian governments, it officially opened in October 2014. Located at No. 98 Xiaoxing Avenue, Hai’an City, Nantong, Jiangsu Province, the park covers a planned area of 10 square kilometers and focuses on developing industries such as high-end equipment manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, new energy, and new materials.
Guided by the principle of “China-Italy Cooperation and Mutual Benefit,” the China-Italy Industrial Park is committed to becoming a model of economic cooperation between China and Italy and a key window for China’s opening to the world. To date, the park has attracted numerous Italian companies, including Fincantieri—one of Italy’s largest industrial groups—and Pininfarina, a world-renowned automotive design firm.
